India Growth Story - Strategic Evaluation Of Planning & Implementation Landscape towards Sustainable Development & Growth-PART 1

This is the appropriate time to initiate an independent thought and enquiry on the Vision of India@2047. The vision is very well placed amidst available growth opportunities for the nation on vital dimensions of Economy ,Equity Markets, Politics , International Diplomacy, Ecology, Technology, Ideology , Constitution, Health, Industry,  Society, Law, Defence, Infrastructure, Secularism , Education and Spirituality.

We shall be taking a look at these dimensions on an ongoing basis. The idea is to keep the discussion alive and help focus on the core issues to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in this beautiful and historic journey called Vision of India@2047.

Today we will look at a few critical observations on

  1. Present per capita GDP of India and its future
  2. Maha Kumbh 2025: Developing Infrastructure, Tourism and  Spiritual Awakening

1. Present Per Capita GDP of India and Its Future

Looking at the till date trajectory of nation's per capita GDP, it is quite evident that building future trajectory projections on the basis of historical perspective may not lead to the Vision of India@2047. That means the equation leading to GDP calculations must be carefully reviewed to ascertain the critical components that define reality for our economy. There are many interdependent variables but the critical ones need to be identified and acted upon to bring about a desirable improvement in the outcome of this vital parameter. At the outset boosting industrial production and arresting the growing population seem to be the two most important factors that would set off a chain reaction leading to an upward growth spiral.
The government, for taking the Nation towards the status of a developed economy by 2047, must devise strategies for
  • Identifying and supporting setting up of large scale industrial production units. These industries would add to the GDP of the nation. At the same time their growth would also result in generating employment, incremental revenue generation, bridging demand & supply gaps,
  • Controlling the growth of Indian population

2. Maha Kumbh 2025: Developing Infrastructure, Tourism and  Spiritual Awakening

Present day governments both at the center and the state have made a serious attempt at renovation, upliftment and modernization of temples, religious corridors and infrastructure. As Prayagraj gets ready to host the worlds largest congregation of people at Maha Kumbh 2025. This event offers an opportunity for working towards developing better facilities and engagement of resources leading to an increase in religious tourism and related business activities in addition to facilitating spiritual awakening of seekers for experiencing inner peace and rejuvenation.
India has a cultural heritage that is inseparable from the dimension of spirituality imbibed in the practice of Sanatan as a way of life. For we Indians historically the concept of holy pilgrimage does not exist in water tight compartments as it pervades the lives and life styles of we Indians and  our households traditionally on a day to day basis. This also brings us to the forefront of deep interest of western philosophers owing to this powerful and all encompassing way of life.
Indian sages since early historical ages till the present day yogis have emphasized the concept of dharma as separate from religion. According to traditional Indian wisdom dharma means following the right path of duty. There may be different sects but the eternal dharma is marked by the values focused at emancipating and uplifting universal brotherhood and humanitarian principles. The concept of global family is beautifully reflected in the ancient Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam , a common thread that binds the entire world together.
